To celebrate the 25th anniversary of its Wantage, UK packaging research center, Crown hosted the first-ever "Design Day" at the facility. This unique forum allowed package designers from top European and global design firms to learn about the latest advances in packaging technology directly from Crown's R&D team.

In addition to meeting with Crown's engineers and researchers, visitors toured a mini trade show featuring the latest in metal and composite packaging technologies. Crowns advances in package shaping and decorating, aerosol dispensing, and closure design were among the developments featured.

The showcase remains on display at Wantage. Several design teams have returned to the facility with customers to further explore Crown's capabilities across a range of applications.

The company is currently considering the implementation of additional Design Days to feature Crowns innovations and to serve packaging professionals in other parts of the world.
