Description of Categories

Improved Shelf Life
Improvements that will help to maintain the integrity of the pack or the quality of the pack contents for a longer period of time.

Improve Manufacturing
Anything that will improve the speed, economy, quality or safety during the manufacture of a pack. This will include forming, printing, coating, filling, and sealing processes.

Branding Opportunities
Ideas that will help the pack enhance the brand image of its contents.

Pack Enhancement for Consumers
Ideas that will make the pack easier, more useful, more pleasurable or more interesting for the consumer to use.

New Packaging Technologies
These can be wide ranging and could include new materials, new manufacturing methods, new types of closures or containers, and new ways of filling or closing containers.

Improved Sustainability
Ideas that reduce energy or other resources during any part of a pack's life cycle from raw materials through manufacturing, transport, use, disposal etc. back to raw materials again.
