Crown Partners with Cadbury to Support British Servicemen and Women
Limited edition tin raises funds to support Help for Heroes Charity
Philadelphia, PA – October 20, 2017. Crown Aerosols & Specialty Packaging Europe collaborated with Mondelēz, the Cadbury Foundation and Help for Heroes to create an iconic, impactful limited edition tin for the charity. The unique package, which contains the brand’s signature chocolate miniature bars, helps promote the foundation’s crucial work with Service Personnel and Military Veterans with injuries, illnesses and wounds sustained while serving in the British Armed Forces. The tin represents the first collaboration between Crown and Mondelēz to support this cause.
Mondelēz places high value on the inherent benefits of metal packaging for its premium products and the format proved ideal for this special initiative. Taking on the design of a drum, the Help for Heroes Cadbury tin features the slogan ‘drumming up support,’ and can be used by consumers as a keepsake, ensuring the important message of contribution and service stays top of mind long after the package’s contents have been enjoyed.
“We chose Crown as our packaging partner due to its diverse market knowledge and expertise, as well as its ability to add value at every stage of the project – from initial design to the final, completed tin,” said Dec Duggan, Senior Brand Manager, Christmas & Halloween, at Mondelēz. “We appreciate working with like-minded companies such as Crown who share our values and goals to make the world a more joyful place through creating prosperous, enterprising and inclusive communities.”
The tin also makes a difference from a sustainability point of view, as the metal used in its construction is infinitely recyclable. Should it be put back into the circular economy surrounding metal packaging, it can be processed and reused with no loss of properties whatsoever.
“We are pleased to have been part of such a special initiative,” commented Veronique Curulla, Marketing Director at Crown Aerosols & Specialty Packaging Europe. “Supporting our local communities and charitable causes is a key element of our sustainability commitment. Playing a role in raising funds for this worthy cause and helping to rebuild lives has been an honor.”
The Help for Heroes Limited Edition tin for Cadbury is being sold exclusively at Tesco stores in the UK starting from October.
