Advancing Sustainability Engagements: Climate Action and Energy Optimization Workshops Launch in Brazil
Our commitment to educating, engaging and empowering our people is taking shape through a diverse set of initiatives as we bring our sustainability efforts to more of our global locations, accelerating progress toward our Twentyby30™ commitments.
Our plants in Brazil recently joined these efforts by hosting two complementary workshops that integrate learning, engagement, and continuous improvement to support meaningful progress.
These initiatives are designed to strengthen climate understanding and enhance sustainability practices across our operations. Together, they reflect a holistic approach to sustainability: one that connects awareness with action.
Climate Action Workshops
2 years ago, we started the “Climate Fresk” initiative in our European locations, a three-hour group workshop led by trained facilitators that helps facilitate understanding and develop collective intelligence around the causes and consequences of climate change.
Our efforts to continuously encourage, inform, and empower every employee to be an active participant in Crown’s Twentyby30™ Sustainability Program are now expanding beyond the Old Continent and reaching the rest of our global locations.
Earlier this month, our teams at the Cabreúva and Uberaba plants in Brazil embarked on a Climate Action journey through collaborative sessions that help build a shared awareness of how our everyday choices, individually and collectively, influence global climate outcomes. By equipping our teams with this knowledge, we foster meaningful engagement and a stronger culture of climate responsibility across our plants.
Energy Optimisation Workshop
Both plants also conducted an Energy Optimization Audit focused on assessing current electricity and gas usage practices. During this hands-on, engagement‑driven exercise, our teams walked through production areas to identify process inefficiencies – such as heat dissipation or air leaks – and opportunities to strengthen energy monitoring and controls.
This collaborative approach helps us reinforce energy governance, improve consistency in operational practices across our facilities, and deliver a clear, actionable roadmap to accelerate decarbonization in the months ahead.
Together, these initiatives reflect our commitment to engaging employees, building internal capabilities, and advancing measurable progress toward Crown’s global sustainability goals.
We will continue deploying these programs across our global operations as we move toward a more responsible and energy-efficient future.
