Crown Holdings Elects Outside Director

PHILADELPHIA, Dec. 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Crown Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: CCK) announced today that William G. Little, 61, has been elected to the Company's Board of Directors. Mr. Little is the former Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of West Pharmaceutical Services. The Board now has 11 members.

Mr. Little has extensive international business experience in Europe, Asia and Australia. With over 35 years experience in the medical device and supplies industry, Mr. Little held several positions of increasing responsibility and management roles for Johnson & Johnson, C. R. Bard and Kendall before joining West Pharmaceutical Services in 1991 as its President and Chief Executive Officer. He was appointed as Chairman in 1995. In 2002, Mr. Little stepped down as Chief Executive Officer of West and remained Chairman until his retirement in 2003.

Mr. Little is active in numerous organizations and serves on the Boards of Ligocyte Pharmaceuticals, Southern Peaks Ltd., Constar International and The World Affairs Council of Philadelphia, PA. Born and educated in New Zealand, Mr. Little is a graduate of Dunedin Teachers College.
