Today, more than ever, it is essential for Crown to protect the safety and well-being of our employees and their families as well as our communities, customers and other business partners.
Our global Task Teams are actively monitoring developments related to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and taking the necessary actions to minimize risk for our global team members and facilities and continue delivery of high-quality packaging to customers in a safe and timely manner. We are adhering to the latest updates from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO), as well as the directives of local authorities. We have also implemented a variety of other precautionary measures, including travel and visitor restrictions and remote working.
Our global supply chain has been evaluated for continuity issues and a dedicated team has been assigned to ensure incoming supplies are sufficient. We have also identified numerous backup supply sources in the event they are needed. We are confident in our ability to navigate these unprecedented circumstances and meet the needs of our customers around the world.
We are proud of our employees for doing their part by manufacturing packaging for critical goods like nutritious food and beverages and cleaning and sanitizing products as well as technologies that enable the safe and secure transportation of goods.
