From November 13-15, 2018, over 40,000 beverage industry decision makers gathered at BrauBeviale, in what was the show’s most fruitful year in its history. We used the show as a platform to connect with current and potential customers, showcase our broad range of innovations, including interactive packaging, and demonstrate the role metal packaging can play in building brands.

One of the main focuses at the show was promoting the benefits of engagement and interaction, both for brand owners as well as consumers – a highly valuable data source for marketers when the necessary channels are open to them. To help customers maximize these opportunities, we highlighted how they can draw on the expertise of our global team, including our European Graphics Studio in Leicester, U.K., to bring their visions to life with metal packaging.

Our booth also became a hub for many journalists visiting BrauBeviale who were keen to interact with the latest additions to our portfolio of interactive packaging solutions. A point of attraction was our ever-growing “Colourful World” technology portfolio - the culmination of collaboration and development between our in-house design, printing and technology experts. Composed of a variety of decorative inks and finishes, these technologies offer brand owners the ability to enhance visual appeal and foster greater engagement with consumers.

New additions to this portfolio included MattTactile and TactileEdge™, both of which were featured at BrauBeviale, and advancements of Crown’s Tactile finish range that run at extreme energy levels without loss of line speed. Mirrorgloss, Frost and Sparkle finishes were also highlighted at the show, alongside Reactinks™ technology – a combination ink that reacts and changes color at each stage of consumption for maximum consumer engagement.

Our team also offered live demonstrations to visitors of the advanced CrownConnect™ technology range. Developed in conjunction with EVRYTHNG, a GS1 U.S. Solution Partner, the technology made its commercial debut with FACT water and its Almond Blockchain platform. CrownConnect™ serves as the enabler by providing the scannable codes necessary for access. The platform delivers critical purchasing data that can help to shape future marketing and promotional campaigns, in addition to helping brands build loyalty through rewards and promotional content.

In summary, BrauBeviale 2018 was an opportunity for us to demonstrate our ability to work in partnership with customers from initial concept through product launch. Helping brands excel in a competitive marketplace is a top priority and events such as this give the opportunity to showcase the options available to customers to maximize impact in the retail environment and beyond.

If we missed you at BrauBeviale this past November, we look forward to connecting with you at the 2019 edition
