Craft beer has increased in popularity across Europe, and Norway is certainly no exception. As in other parts of the world, European craft brewers like Norway’s Aegir Bryggeri, are relying on beverage cans to bring their products to market thanks to the format’s many convenience and sustainability-driven attributes.
Aegir Bryggeri’s range of award-winning hand crafted beers are created in the company’s Viking style brewery and recognized internationally for both quality and taste. The stunning graphics for the brand’s collection of pale ales and IPA’s were created by Denmark-based artist Leo Griffin (leogriffin.dk). The team at Crown’s European Design Studio worked closely with Leo and Aegir Bryggeri to ensure the vision for each package was successfully brought to life.
To further enhance the consumer experience, Aegir Bryggeri leveraged Crown’s 360 End® – the world’s first full aperture end for 2-piece beverage cans. The innovation allows consumers to remove the entire lid of the can and utilize their sense of smell to engage with the contents within. Since experiencing the full aroma of craft beer plays a critical role in the consumption experience, the full aperture end was the natural choice. Aegir Bryggeri is among the first craft breweries in Europe to offer the 360 End® to its customers and many more are expected to follow its lead.
